I think we can all agree that PvE and PvP have one thing in common. Some members of both sides like to flame each other over absolutely nothing and call the other side a bunch of ignorant jerks etc. So stop it.

Don't worry. The jerks as he calls them only make up a very small population of the GW community. Just like wammos and whiners.

To me, this is a huge jump from before. I say that some how, Nightfall improved the In-game community.

Well theres my 2 cents. Great Job Anet!
I too have noticed that the community has improved.

I think this is because of the greater quality, and lesser frustration with the fact that people are less dependent on each other.

I belive that people likes to play a role in a group, but they also like to feel strong and feel like that they can achive something in the game without the need of 7 other real life players.

There will always be jerks, though.

I had alot of fun with other people when the mad king was around. people where happy and said funny things. I think more fun and strange events will help loosen up people.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees this improvement. In fact, I strongly agree with the Holiday with the Mad King, everyone was haven fun and being nice. =)

Be nice everyone

At first i thought "Wow, nightfall is really bringing out the best in People" As I progressed threw the game.

I did not play for one or two days, came back, and al the 12 year old sand "enlightened" 14 year olds cought up.

Same thing. Different setting.

Perhaps the in-game community has slightly improved in terms of generosity and politness....

And i think it has to do in large part to just how satsified and happy the public is with Nightfall. The overall attitude about this new chapter has stemmed positive reactions, and in turn i think the community is tending to be that much better.

Honestly, i think part of the previous problems with community had to do directly with the Factions system. Pitting teams against eachother should have brought forth good sportsmanship, but instead many of the younger generation players took it further in terms of badmouthing etc etc. This somehow translated to overal negative feelings in the community during the Factions campaign.

I enjoy seeing in town more positive conversations and people asking questions now getting answered more often in informative and friendly ways. Sure there will always be the elitist, or the grinch, or the young snob, or just your run-of-the-mill jerk, but i agree it seems the community has changed for the best. I really hope this trend continues as it will help stem continued interest in the game.

Here's hoping!
cheers!

There's always a bunch of clowns and jerks. Always. You were just lucky to stumble on some that were actually nice.

And all the 12-year-olds and "enlightened" 14-year-olds caught up? Do I need to point out that I'm 14? That tons of people who are probably 10x more mature than you are younger than you in this game? Thanks for making me dislike the community even more >.<

I like answering questions for people. Lots of newbies in the Sunspear Great Hall are always begging for answers. Me and a buddy camped there for a half hour just answering things. People gave us donations 0.0

I think people aren't seeing as much of the jerks because of the hero system. I myself have been doing missions/quests with guildies and/or heros only... so there is no way for me to gauge if the same jerks I dealt with in the first two games are standing around me in NF...

Definetely. The docks was like getting slapped in the face w/ a wet fish, for those of you who have done it, you probably know what I'm talking about people-wise.

I can't say I've noticed it because I've managed to get halfway through the NF campaign without interacting with another human being outside my guild once.

I think the heroes are quite polite though.

There is two groups of people that were rude when I was trading and that was..

1> The FoW haters "fow is for ebayers" etc
2> The people that PM you and call you a noob for selling some thing for 100k+..typical example " n00b nothing is worth 300k!! 10k max"

besides those types of people most people are normally fairly polite.
